SMPlayer adalah salah satu dari sekian banyak Aplikasi pemutar Video gratis, SMPlayer ini selain gratis juga dapat berjalan di Sistem Operasi Windows dan Linux (Sistem Operasi Gratis, yang terbagi dalam berbagai macam: Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Zorrin). Hal yang unik menurut saya dari SMPlayer ini, bisa melanjutkan video yang belum selesai kita tonton tanpa harus mengulang dari awal (mungkin semua Video Player juga bisa, tapi sepertinya perlu di setting dulu) dan kabar gembira untuk kita semua SMPlayer ini dapat menonton video Youtube tanpa menggunakan Aplikasi Browser (Firefox, Google Crhome, Safari, Opera, Tourch) dan anda dapat mencari langsung Subtitle sebuah film. Walaupun ada saingnnya seperti UMPlayer tapi penggunaan memori SMPlayer lebih kecil, dan lebih ringan.
